NATO Intercepts Iranian Missile Heading to Turkey
A ballistic missile launched from Iran was intercepted by NATO air defence force, which was targetting the air space of Turkey. The motive of this target is not clear yet. before it was intercepted by NATO, it flew over Syria. No one was injured. Turkey is threatening to retaliate against any attack. Turkey is taking precautions against any attack with the help of NATO forces. Turkey is increasing its defensive and deterrent capabilities, according to Turkish President Recep Erdogan.
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke with the Iranian foreign minister over the phone and protested against the incident. He asked Iran not to take any actions that could lead to more conflict. However, Iran is yet to comment on the matter. NATO forces have condemned the ballistic missile targeting Turkey. They said they were ready and alert for any attack.
